Putting Customers on Hold

A popular shipping organization has a new advertisement – “When you call us, you get to talk with a real person in three rings”.

I feel they’ve hit the nail right on the head. I remember a few times when I’ve had to hold for more than 20 minutes, and then the (Un)Intelligent Voice Response System disconnected me saying “All our operators were busy. Please call later”. :-( I changed my mobile service provider after that.

Well, in this world, it is important to retain customers, I think speaking with a real person in less than 5 rings is an achievement in itself. Congratulations!
