Sometimes, when I don’t have something specific in mind, and I visit a restaurant to get some food, I normally order the first thing that I get to see being served to another person. I noticed that this happened a few times, and I started to notice if this was something specific to me, or happens to others as well.
A couple of days back, a friend and me were out at a restaurant, and he happened to order a sundae. Looking at him, I saw three people order the same stuff.
So it was not something specific to me. It’s to do with the way the brain works.
The brain works in mysterious ways, and I never realized that something as simple deciding what to eat could be so easily influenced by visual impact.
I guess the same goes when purchasing other stuff as well.
Now that I think about it, a couple of times, I’ve noticed that when I’ve known what to buy (very rarely), and I’ve been very confident what to ask for, and have done the same, a couple of other people have ended up purchasing the same stuff that I got.
I find it interesting – as to how the brain works.
Hehe, really? Thats interesting, never really thought about it.

sporadicblogger : Yes, really. It’s just that we never note when it happens.
