Heck, I haven’t updated this section in a couple of years. I’ve done a lot of crazy things since, and am too lazy to update it over here. Will do so when I find the inspiration to do so. In the mean time, this is pretty much who I was two years before.
Where do I start? The primary reason for this blog is to express my views, opinions and irritations. I’ve met a few great folks through this. This blog has turned me around – I have become tolerant, acknowledge difference of opinion, and am able to see things from the other person’s perspective.
Apart from blogging, I enjoy music. I love Dream Theater, and am a huge fan of the band. So huge that I decided to travel all the way to Singapore, from Bangalore, just to watch the band perform live. Only wish they’d come to India sometime, sometime soon. I believe Jordan Rudess is the most insanely gifted keyboardist, ever. I’m open to all forms of music, but tend to listen more of progressive rock. I feel that it is challenging to understand prog – Odd time signatures interest me. Bands with good keyboardists grab my attention. This is what I’m listening to currently (Link to my Last.FM profile). And below is a list of concerts I’ve attended:
Joe Satriani – Palace Grounds, Bangalore – May 17, 2005
Bryan Adams – Palace Grounds, Bangalore – February 5, 2006
Uriah Heep – Palace Grounds, Bangalore – February 9, 2006
Deep Purple – Cathedral School Grounds, Bangalore – December 17, 2006
Iron Maiden – Palace Grounds, Bangalore – March 17, 2007
Dream Theater – Fort Canning’s Park, Singapore – Jan 17, 2008
Virgil Donati and Brett Garsed – Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Bangalore – August 6, 2008
Iron Maiden – Palace Grounds, Bangalore – February 15, 2009
I read – once always in the middle of books, I feel it’s slowly starting to fade away. I’ve not been reading much of late.
I also photoblog and some of the photographs deemed viewable end up here (Link to my Flickr profile).
I have been in Bangalore since 2004. My other interests include food – I enjoy eating good food.
I am an Engineer by profession, sometimes wishing could do something to change the way the world worked, but failing to come out with anything concrete.
